  • Could you please send me a link to how to operate this dishwasher. I have moved into a new house and this was the dishwasher onsite.
    
    I have tried to use it but it sounds like it drains a little, then fills a little but doesn't actually wash. From previous posts it sounds like maybe there is a fault with the wash pump motor? Is this easy to fix?

    From what you describe, it does sound like the wash pump motor is not going.
    
    With the start of any cycle, the dishwasher will...drain...fill with a small amount of water...then start the wash pump...and fill more.
    
    If you are not hearing anything, or maybe just a slight humming noise when the was pump is supposed to start, it is likely there is either something jammed in the wash pump impeller, or the motors capacitor has failed.
    
    Motor capacitors (it should be a 5uF) are available from most appliance spare parts retailers.
    
    Both repairs are not exceptionally difficult if you know your way around the workings of a dishwasher, but a technician may be recommended.

    I do not have a manual for the E5DWSS (sent via email), but I do have one for the E7DWSS.
    
    They are the same dishwasher, the E5 has 2 less buttons. All other aspects are the same.
